Having doubts whether LSCON is the event for you? Unless you’re not into novelty experiences that indulge you in thrilling encounters with a variety of artsy people and intrigue your curiosity.

The LSCON 2024 event is one of the events brought to you by nerd otaku every year in Lusaka, Zambia since 2016 providing a platform/space for people to enhance or bring out the creative version of themselves. This year just as every other year LSCON has been made available filled with various people some showcasing their work and others ready to feast their eyes on them and show appreciation in their own unique ways.

There was a gaming space with great quality games for the gamers. The vendor booths had a lot of fan merchandise that were anime themed, DC, and Marvel themed, pop culture themed, and more such as posters, clothing, ornaments, available for fans to take away as tokens of their favorite entertainers.

A Variety of branches of lovely art was on display such as paintings, pencil drawings, and comics to name a few, with the Japanese embassy there making available activities that create an enjoyable exotic cultural experience.

The role entertainment plays in our daily lives is undeniably important. And to be part of a community that gets together to show support to the artists and their craft, have panel discussions on a number of topics such as film, have playful cos-play for which there’s a competition for, and many more is quite exciting. It’s not just a place for the nerds but absolutely available to anyone who appreciates creativity fits in, either kids, teens, or adults, it’s for you.

Profiles such as SKY Girls Zed were there showing their support to girls embracing their true selves and getting more SKY sisters to be their authentic self. So was Open Window University which offers formal education for the creative enthusiasts. As well as Geco Games Studios which held a competition for their latest game giving attendees an opportunity to win souvenirs while having fun attempting to do so.

Towards the end of the event everyone came together around the stage cheering as the cos-play contestants showcased their costumes and performed a short act from their outfit inspired shows or movies while the crowd burst applauding them, eventually leading to the end of the entire event.

Same time next year Nerd Otaku presents another day of comic con in Lusaka giving you a chance to get to meet with creative artsy people and have an amazing time-sharing interaction with them, so get your cosplays ready and bring out your favorite characters to life and be prepared to have an amazing day filled with thrilling experiences first hand because this is just a part of the vast activities that you can lose yourself in.
